School Year's Eve

School Year's Eve this year began with our special family dinner full of favorites and a Family Home Evening lesson, and ended with Father's Blessings for each of the kids to help them get off to the right start.

We talked about a scripture that I hope my children will always remember - especially as they get older and spend more and more time outside of our home.  I want them to always know and have faith in the fact that they are children of our Heavenly Father (a Prince and Princess!) despite how others may treat them.  (And hopefully they will remember this in the way they treat others as well!)

Psalm 82:6
"I have said, Ye are Gods; and all of you are children of the most High."

I made them each a royal crown and then they colored reminder posters to hang in their rooms.
They also each set a goal to work on this year - Caleb is going to be a "Super Helper" and Olivia is going to remember that "A is for Attitude" (and have a good one!)

Dear Prince Caleb and Princess Olivia:  I hope you will always remember who you are!
Love, Mom
