April Was a Doozy: Part 1

How did this month fly by so darn fast?  My picture file for April is HUGE because we did so many fun things (we ignored the crazy weather, pretended it was spring and broke out of the house!)
The first weekend of the month I found these super cute kid shovels on clearance for $1.50 each and the kids were so excited about them, but incredibly bummed that there was no snow and they'd have to wait til next year.  (Little did we know what would arrive just two days later!)

We kept with our General Conference tradition of cleaning the house top to bottom on Saturday morning and then decorating for Easter before settling down to enjoy the sessions together.  (As always, Olivia and Caleb found quite a few ways to entertain themselves when their attention began to wander.)

We celebrated my beautiful sister Katie's 24th birthday
And then made the trek up to Logan for "Baby Animal Days" (which was so stinking fun I've decided that it will be an April tradition from now on!)

So many sweet little animals - chicks, ducks, goats, pigs, calves and ponies.  Caleb was surprisingly brave about petting and holding them and Olivia was surprisingly shy!  I even had to do some major talking to get her on the ponies.  (If I wasn't already nervous about packing her off to a week of horse camp in July, now I am doubly so!)

And then there were the bunnies...  OH HOW I LOVED THE BUNNIES!

We capped off the day with a train ride around the farm and some famous "Aggie" ice cream (never again can I eat store-bought prailines and cream!)

Yeah for cute little animals! Bummer for the snow, but at least they got to use their shovels!
