I'm going to let you all in on the secret to truly enjoying the Festival of Trees. Ready?
Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM.SERIOUSLY!
Do this especially if you have little kids (especially, especially if you are planning on pushing a stroller!) Carol, April, myself and our mix of little boys (even Cameron got to tag along this year) have done this for a few years now and aside from the gorgeous trees and quilts we had a blast in the nearly deserted Kid Section.
We tried out the bubble machine,
and the fishing pond.
Made candy cane tree ornaments,
had fun cousin time
and saw Santa (to name just a few.) It was a super fun day and no one pushed us out of the way to see a tree or blocked our stroller. We followed up our day with lunch at Chic-fil-a and were home in time for a nap!
It's just too bad we can't enjoy the lights at Temple Square mid afternoon...

My sister and I did the same with our kids. It was a blessing and a dream come true. It's only rough if you have a regular 9-5 job and can only go at night.
