Cameron had to work on the 3rd, so we celebrated our anniversary this last weekend with a much needed night away from home. We left the kids with my oh-so-wonderful mom on Friday afternoon and drove up to Midway - home of the famous "Swiss Days" and the gorgeous little mountain town just outside of Heber where we spent our honeymoon seven years ago. We had a great dinner at the Homestead and then stayed at "The Inn on the Creek" where thanks to a king sized, feather comforter covered bed and half of a sleeping pill I had the best nights sleep since before Caleb. The next morning we slept in until the sunshine woke us up (can't remember the last time that's happened...) and then drove to Park City for breakfast. We thought about walking Main Street and stopping in our favorite art gallery, but it was 19 degrees outside. So we didn't. Then we headed for home and our sweet kids who we really did miss. I think... It was short and sweet and relaxing. Exactly what we needed. Thanks mom and sister for tending, thanks kiddos for being good and leaving me nothing to worry about, and thanks Cameron for a great night away and seven amazing years!
