This Weekend:

I will break out my new quilting supplies and put them to good use.
(Thanks Carol for the early gift - I have fabulous plans!)
I will enjoy lunch out with my sweet husband and try not to think about the fact that I have been on this earth for three decades and graduated from high school twelve years ago.
I will take a trip to the nail salon with a few of my girlies and ignore the fact that my little girl is getting baptized this year and going to the same girl scout camp that I began attending twenty-one years ago.
I will get out my scissors and rip into this surprise package.
(Okay - truth be told it's not actually a surprise. I found a super deal two months ago, ordered it online and informed Cameron that my birthday present was taken care of. Proof again that I am getting old - I'm not so adamant about being surprised.)
And I will thoroughly enjoy my family dinner at my mom's house along with homemade apple pie - a dessert I have been requesting every year since my eighth birthday (doing the math....) twenty-two years ago.

That's right - I'm old enough that I have to do the math - because this weekend I hit the big THREE - OH!

Hi Emily!
I found your blog through Katie I think, or maybe Andrea. I don't know one of the two. You are so funny! Not sure if you meant for it to be funny and I hope I don't offend you by laughing. But I just think you are funny! Anyways, Happy Birthday this weekend!

Happy Birthday! At least your husband is older than you. Mine likes to remind me that he is in his twenties and I am in my thirties.
