A year ago in June I started teaching piano lessons again and last week was our first piano recital. I've been teaching for about twelve years now, but this was the worst recital yet in terms of how nervous I got beforehand. This was the first recital for all five of my students, the first time I had performed a memorized piece of my own in years, and most of all Olivia's first recital. I started lessons with her in May and she worked so hard to perfect "Mary Had a Little Lamb." I was so proud of her!!! I don't know how on earth she didn't get nervous (very unlike her mother in that way!) She just marched right up there, played her piece and took a bow. Yay Livvy!

Piano recitals were always the death of me growing up. Kudos to you for going back to that, and organizing one, in adulthood- you are brave!
