The Ghost Says BOO!

Is anyone else familiar with the Reflections contest in the elementary schools every year? I entered faithfully from K - 6th grade (and actually won once - but that's another story...) Anyway - Olivia heard about it this year (the theme was "WOW!") and immediately came home and created the most adorable picture ever. She drew six little people on orange post-it notes all wearing different, crazy hats. She titled it "My friends and me all wearing crazy hats to keep the sun off at a beach party" and worked on it for days. Here is the end result at the school art show last week.

She's also branching into literature as well - here is her "spooky" story that she wrote today. Don't her letters look great? I used to have to remind her what each letter looked like when she'd ask me to spell something, and now she can do it all on her own.
And here are the kids in their annual Halloween shirts. I'm just so in love with those smiley little faces!!!

Way to go Olivia. That is awesome. I remember entering one year and got a trophy. You feel so special. I wonder if I still have it. That would be fun to see again.Congrats!

I am amazed at how fast your kiddos are growing! Wade and I are having a discussion. I say Olivia looks like Cameron, and Caleb looks more like you. He thinks the opposite...so, what do you hear more? Just curious. Sure would love to get together with you guys. Maybe when this house is done life will slow down and we can plan something! Miss you guys.

Emily-Do you remember when we sat by eachother in 1st grade in Mrs. Garff's class and we had the first grade store and we would give Mrs Garff a hug every day as we left. You were always so good at reflections. I only participated in 3rd grade because I'm not an artist. Luckily I did win a random prize, a $10 gift certicicate at Party Time. I hope that Olivia does better than me.
