Tomorrow!!

Hey friends! Caleb will be here TOMORROW! Before our life here in the Benson house becomes a little crazy I thought I'd give you kind of a hodge podge post of what we've been up to. First of all, (drum roll please) with the help of Cameron's mom I have pretty much finished both kids rooms. My biggest accomplishment has been Olivia's quilt. (Yes - finally!) It's only taken two plus years, but it is done and on her bed and very cute.
Second of all is my sweet Olivia. We've been a little worried about her these past few weeks. I'm sure it's just the upcoming change, but my girl has never truly recovered from our move as far as being her usual social self and lately it's been much worse. Meltdowns going into primary... Meltdowns going to preschool... Invading my bed every night at three AM (a particularly fun slumber party with humungous me, Cameron and Olivia all in a queen bed.) Anyway - it's been a little rough, but she's been doing a little better these past few days, and she really is so excited for her baby brother.
I can't even tell you what a huge help she has been getting things ready. She helped me sterilize bottles and binkies the other day, wash all of the baby clothes and organize the kid bathroom. What an awesome girl I have! Not that she and I lack quality time together with her being an only child so far, but we've been trying to squeeze in lots of fun mommy dates and daddy dates lately. Cameron's been working a ton over the last few weeks so that he can have a lot of time off over the next little while so Olivia has especially enjoyed his days off. She's quite a little daddy's girl and they are good buddies and love to play together and snuggle together. They had a little powdered donut party before bed a few days ago (I was not invited - but managed to sneak some cute pictures of them.) Anyway - that's us right now. Wish us luck with the little brother and all of our upcoming adventures!!
